New Share Issue Raises Substantial Investment 29/4/10: Absolute Media Group Ltd Announcement
Absolute Media Group Ltd, the multi-media publisher, announces that it has received a substantial investment into the company by means of a share issue. The shares were placed with a number of High Net Worth individuals. As part of this process, Absolute Media Group has also appointed Webb Capital PLC in an advisory role.
The proceeds will be applied to the Company’s working capital and will be used to help with the growth of the company, in particular with the recruitment of new sales staff.
Commenting upon the Placing, Joint Managing Directors Spencer Gore and Nigel Lloyd issued the following statement
“Since the end of last year the company has been looking to raise additional funds to assist with our expansion plans. We have worked with Webb Capital to raise a significant amount of money which we will invest in the infrastructure of the business but primarily in recruiting to expand our sales force. Due to our increased expansion we will also be looking to move to bigger premises. We have made great strides this year and have increased our revenue month on month. This along with the new capital is being reinvested to help us continue to grow as planned” Peter Webb, Chief Executive of Webb Capital commented “Since our early meetings with the founders of Absolute Media Group, we have been extremely excited by their enthusiasm and dynamism towards this project. We are delighted to be associated with the Company and look forward to assisting management to achieve even greater success in the fullness of time”

Absolute becomes Official Publisher for the F.A.
Absolute Sports is thrilled to announce its new agreement with the Essex County Football Association to become its official publisher. Absolute will publish two editions of ECFA Magazine this year as an eBook free of charge to increase the already impressive reach of the publication across the County.
The release of ECFA Magazine Issue 15, a free biannual glance at the local game including coach education listings from the simple Level One Certificate through to specialist youth and goalkeeping modules. The latest edition is the first to be available as an eBook from the Association’s website at www.essexfa.com Amongst the main features in the Winter edition of the Magazine are items on facility funding in difficult times, the launch of a brand new Soccability League and an exclusive interview with ‘Essex Boys Turned Posh’ Chris Whelpdale and Scott Griffiths, who now ply their trade in the Coca-Cola Football League with Peterborough United having started out in Essex schools representative football.
Also featured is a special Forum on up-and-coming referees as well as articles relating to Futsal and the new 4x4 format. Southend United Join The Party!
Coca-Cola Football League One side Southend United have signed a contract with Sports Publishers Absolute Sports part of the Absolute Media Group. Absolute Sports will become the Official Publisher of Southend and it gives Steve Tilson's Blues the chance to have their very own End of Season Review. The Review aim specifically at Blues fans will encapsulate all the thrills and spills of the 2009/2010 and look forward to the exciting times ahead.

City Agree New Deal
Chelmsford City Football Club have put pen to paper on a new three year contract. The deal makes Absolute Sports the official publisher of Chelmsford City Football Club until the end of 2012. It means the club will now have at least another six editions of City Life published. Due to the fantastic success of the first edition and it phenomenal reception with the fans, City Life will become bi-annual coming out for pre-season and Christmas.
Cambridge United Sign Three Year Deal
Absolute Sports is delighted to announce a three year deal to become the official publishers of Cambridge United Football Club. Just before Christmas 2009, Absolute Sports will publish “YOUR CITY – YOUR CLUB” – The Official Cambridge United Football Club Review. This will be the first in the series of reviews leading to a massive Centenary Edition in the summer of 2012. The publications will be a great opportunity for supporters and local businesses to come together to celebrate the achievements of the club, look ahead to where we want to be for the rest of the season and moving forward, as well as discussing what’s necessary for Cambridge United Football Club in order to maximise its great potential.
